This 3-minute founder film was created by Collarts film students as an exploration of authenticity, perspective, and inclusive storytelling.

For many, it was their first time filming and conducting an interview. With just 24 hours to interpret the brief and complete the shoot, they worked within real-world creative constraints.
 

Drawing on their own lived experiences, the students examined what feels genuine on camera and how connection is shaped through visual storytelling. A thoughtful discussion followed, some felt direct eye contact with the camera created connection, while others experienced it as confronting. Striking that balance isn’t simple.

 

There was no script or direction, only space to observe, interpret, and respond in their own way.
